Historia naszego klubu
W Płocku z inicjatywy Jana Mazurkiewicza( obecnie 5 Dan) w 1993 roku powstała pierwsza sekcja karate kyokushin, a następnie został zarejestrowany w Urzędzie Wojewódzkim -Płocki Klub Karate Kyokushinkai, który współpracuje z Komisją Kyokushin PZK w Krakowie.
Pierwsze treningi odbywały się w Szkole Podstawowej nr 14 na ul. Jachowicza w centrum Płocka. Duże zainteresowanie mieszkańców Płocka oraz okolicznych miejscowości wpłynęło na decyzję o utworzeniu dwóch grup treningowych: pierwsza- dla dzieci od 5 do 14 lat i druga- dla młodzieży i dorosłych.
Dzięki współpracy z Włocławskim Klubem Karate Kyokushin można było wspólnie organizować obozy treningowe i zgrupowania oraz wymieniać się doświadczeniami. Dla popularyzowania tej dyscypliny organizowano pokazy karate.

Pierwsi zawodnicy
Spośród ćwiczących wyłoniono pierwszych zawodników: Robert Kosiński, Wojciech Szychta (instruktor PKKK), Paweł Bednarek, Wojciech Malinowski, Arkadiusz Ciesielski, Agnieszka Lewandowska, Agnieszka Dębowska, Zbigniew Ostrowski, Sylwester Kubik, Michał Kobierzycki, Kazimierz Ostrowski, Tomasz Rutecki, Sebastian Miller, Jacek Kobierzycki, Dorota Przybyła. Wielu z nich było również aktywnymi działaczami klubu. Po dwóch latach treningów klub uczestniczył już w zawodach regionalnych, a następnie po dłuższym okresie czasu w zawodach okręgowych i ogólnopolskich.
obozy
Sensei Jan Mazurkiewicz pierwsze obozy organizuje wspólnie z Sosnowieckim Klubem Karate Kyokushin, prowadzonym przez sensei Eugeniusza Dadzibuga (obecnie 4 Dan), w których biorą udział członkowie Włocławskiego i Płockiego KKK (Jeleśnia, Giżycko(Wilkasy), Wdzydze Kiszewskie, Ustka). W kolejnych latach Płocki Klub Karate Kyokushinkai reprezentowali: Piotr Sapiński (aktualnie w USA), Łukasz Kotwasiński, Łukasz Czubak (instruktor PKKK), Piotr Nisztor, Robert Szul, Rafał Szul, Rafał Żbikowski, Anika Laskowska, Jarosław Rosiński, Zbigniew Piekarski, Dorota Krzemińska, Alicja Bogaczyńska, Jacek Kruszewski, Adam Witkowski, Robert Kaca (aktualnie Dania), Daniel Posiewka (dotychczas najbardziej utytułowany zawodnik PKKK), Krzysztof Płoski, Andruszewicz Michał, Szejna Piotr, Tomasz Bogdański, Nisztor Piotr , Piotr Piszcz.
Zawody
Większość z zawodników odniosła znaczące sukcesy zdobywając trofea na zawodach regionalnych, okręgowych, wojewódzkich i ogólnopolskich. Zawodnicy PKKK pogłębiają swoje umiejętności przystępując systematycznie do egzaminów oraz uczestniczą w szkoleniach instruktorskich, sędziowskich oraz obozach międzynarodowych- w Krakowie.
Rok dwutysięczny to: szersza współpraca PKKK z Włocławskim KKK i Bydgoskim KKK, reprezentowanym przez sensei Jarosława Remusa 2 Dan, wspólne obozy letnie i zimowe: Stegna, Jastrzębia Góra, Szklarska Poręba, Namestovo (Słowacja). Wpływa korzystnie na integrację oraz rozwój dyscypliny karate w Płocku. Nowa i przyszła generacja zawodników PKKK to: Kamil Krysztofiak, Meller Jarosław, Sandra Białkowska, Tomasz Jeziak, Anna Pietrzak, Diana Żyłowska, Hubert Cholewiński, Piotr Grabarczyk, Rafał Dąbrowski, Dawid Rutkowski, Piotr Borniński, Tomasz Dziedzic, Wiktor Bregier.
szkolenia
Duże znaczenie szkoleniowe miał czterokrotny wyjazd ( 2000, 2001, 2003 i 2004 r) sensei Jana Mazurkiewicza na obozy międzynarodowe karate do Holandii, gdzie miał okazję ćwiczyć z mistrzami karate kyokushin z całego Świata pod okiem shihan Loek Hollander ( 8 dan). W roku 2006 po rejestracji w Polskim Związku Karate Płocki Klub Karate Kyokushinkai posiada licencję PZK.
2007 rok to dalszy rozwój karate gdzie powstają nowe sekcje karate na terenie Płocka oraz filia w Sierpcu. Rok 2007 był okresem przygotowań sensei Jana Mazurkiewicza do egzaminu na 4 Dan. W przygotowaniu tym sensei uczestniczył w obozie międzynarodowym w Holandii, Krakowie, a następnie w Mitshumine (Japonia), gdzie zdał pomyślnie egzamin.
Wyjazd do Japonii w 2007 roku był okazją do obejrzenia IX Mistrzostw Świata i niezapomnianych przeżyć po 30 latach treningów.
